Growth in Liverpool City Region

In Liverpool City Region, ambitious growth plans are continuing at pace across a number of sectors.

Perhaps the biggest divide in the City is whether you’re a red or a blue. Regardless of who you support, Everton FC’s new £500million stadium is set to bring added prosperity to the region and is currently the largest planned private sector investment.

The planned 52,000 seat stadium at Bramley – Moore Dock has an estimated potential (Everton FC) to bring a £1.3 billion boost to the economy, create more than 15,000 jobs and attract £1.4 million visits to the city.

The new stadium sits within Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters site – a 30-year project that will see developments across 5 existing and future neighborhoods – with the potential of bringing 9000 new homes to the City.

Liverpool Waters is also set to be the home of a new cruise liner terminal as well as a new Isle of Man ferry terminal.

Peel L&P has heralded the waterfront development with the capability “to compete with countries such as Boston, Toronto, and Barcelona in terms of the scale and diversity of its waterfront offer and associated economy“.
