How the tenant selection process works
We protect your property as if it was our own! We will provide you with peace of mind by fully referencing all applicants and their guarantors to ensure that you have high-quality tenants living on your property who can meet the financial requirements to make rental payments.
Tenant and guarantor referencing process
Our referencing process is very in-depth with checks on income and employment, credit history, right to rent, and previous landlord references. If any red flags are found, they will be noted on the referencing report, and it will be your decision whether to proceed with the application or not.
Tenancy agreement compilation
Once all applicants and guarantors have passed the referencing process, your dedicated Tenancy Care Account Manager will arrange the compilation of the tenancy agreement ensuring it sets out the legal terms and conditions of your tenancy along with issuing all Prescribed Information prior to residents taking occupation of your apartment. All tenants and guarantors will be required to sign the tenancy agreement ensuring that it is legally binding.
Can the letting agent sign the tenancy agreement on behalf of the landlord?
Yes, the tenancy agreement can be signed by yourself, or by X1 on your behalf. You will be sent a copy of the completed tenancy agreement for your records.
